The memorial square is facing zhongshan first road, which is the main public area.Its function is to serve its neighbors and the playground of the tourist.Due to the limited space, the Bajiangjun cemetery lacked the grounds for a large number of people to worship, commemorate.So,the function of the memorial square was complemented and the Bajiangjun cemetery was formed as a whole.

 There are two supporting commercial buildings and resting platforms in the square,This improves the recreational experience and the lively atmosphere of the tourists.The center of the square is mainly made of shops, which provide a focus area for nearby residents and visitors, and facilitate daily activities and commemorative activities.

        纪念广场区为场地内面向中山一路一侧的区域，是主要的公共活动区域。该区域在功能上是服务周边居民公共活动的场地，也是服务游览人群纪念巴将军活动的场地。由于使用空间的限制，现巴将军墓缺少可供大量人群进行祭拜、纪念、文教活动的场地，所在纪念广场区在功能上对现状不足进行功能上的补充，与现巴将军墓形成整体。

        场地内设有两处配套商业建筑，并结合配套商业布置有休息平台，这既有利于提升游览者的休息体验，也使得场地能够留得住游览者，能够保住人气。而在广场的主体区域，以大面积公共活动铺装场地为主，为附近居民和外来游客提供集散空间和集中活动场地，便于开展日常活动和节假日纪念活动。

        广场区域以灯带和线型铺装为主要景观物，以自由布置的灯带引导视线，将人群引导向巴将军墓方向，同时增加场地的吸引力，并提升整个区域的活力。

        雕塑为市民呈现巴国文化与巴将军的忠义精神；安静休息区提供相对私密、安静休息空间；纪念广场区主题统一，纪念古代中国璀璨的传承文化，同时为广场的形象展示；休闲活动区是集休闲、健身、娱乐为一体的综合活动空间。
