The planning area of Dongwo Scenic Area is from the north to Chenghu Expressway and the road along the lower crossing of Luzhou Port Expressway is in the west. In the south, the railway is located near natural mountains, and the east ends at the boundary of the Changjiang River. The total area is 400 hectares, and 6,000 mu.

TheDong Wo hydropower station is the earliest in Sichuan, the second in China -. Longxi River originates from Dengdong Mountain in Chongqing City and enters the Changjiang River in Luzhou City. It is more than 70 kilometers long. The Longxi River flows through the nest and forms a huge gap. Dongwo Scenic Area has many unique features such as danger, strangeness, seclusion and show. Since its establishment, it is famous for its 20 scenic spots. The Longxi Waterfall cascades down and the mountains are surrounded by all directions, forming a unique natural wonder of the canyons. The forest paths are quiet and beautiful.

在这里有四川最早、全国第二的水力发电站--洞窝水电站。龙溪河发源于重庆市登东山，在泸州市注入长江，全长70余公里。龙溪河流经洞窝，先形成巨大落差，后在峡谷中蜿蜒。洞窝峡谷风景区其自然风光兼有险、奇、幽、秀等多重特色。自建成以来，以洞窝二十景而闻名。龙溪瀑布倾泻而下，群山从四面八方向中心环抱，形成独特的峡谷天然奇观，林间小道清幽秀丽，飞来神石奇观凸显。
