Tuanxi memorial plaza is in the center of Tuanxi town, close to the town government and the courts, and will be the political, economic and cultural center. So the plaza is designed as a memorial one, but also has the function of municipal plaza and commercial plaza. Considering the public use, the plaza can be place for culture, leisure and entertainment.The design concept is based on the site topography and landscape resource. Because the topic is dragon, and the east of the shape of the eastern Longyan reservoir looks like dragon head, and the canal connects the reservoir and site is like the dragon body, we put forward the idea of "Phoenix" to make the entire region to be harmonious and prosperous with "Phoenix and dragon". And such combination is very traditional and Chinese, and also indicates that the site will be flourishing and auspicious in the future.

　　团溪纪念广场的位置位于团溪镇中心处，紧邻镇政府和法院，即将成为本镇的政治、经济、文化中心，所以此次广场的设计定位为纪念性广场，兼有市政广场和商业广场的性质和功能，同时兼顾考虑市民的使用，以及如何体现文化性、休闲性和娱乐性。 设计构思上是依据现场地形和景观资源，结合场地东侧龙岩水库如龙头吸水的形状和其龙的主题，以及水库与场地连接水渠的蜿蜒如龙身的形象，大胆提出将场地抽象提取“凤”的思路，使整个区域呈现“龙凤呈祥”的大和谐、大繁荣的气象，正所谓“龙嬉于水、凤嬉于林”这颇具中国传统意味的组合，既暗示了本案传统中式的风格，也预示着这片祥合之地即将龙飞凤舞、展翅腾飞。
